First off I am going to assume you all have mIRC 5.07 or above (if not just go download the damn thing)
Ok Authing is important as you can not be auto opped in the chans and it makes it a pain in the ass for us people to op you. Also, anything put in <>'s you don't type the <>
First off decide on a nick, then when you have it /msg AuthServ@Services.gamesurge.net register <nick> <password you want> <your@email.address>
After that is done, you will get a email from Gamesnet with a cookie you will have to paste on irc so that you can finalize your Account.
After your Nick is registered, you need to auth to do this,
/msg AuthServ@Services.gamesurge.net identify <nick> <password>
Now everytime you get online, or split off from chanserv you must auth. No as far as getting online to auth, you can make it auto, with splits you can't.
To set the auto auth, do the following steps:
1. In mIRC goto File/options
2. Connect/Perform
3. Click Enable perform on connect, and have Gamesnet selected(if not there add it)
4. Put the following in there /msg AuthServ@Services.gamesurge.net identify <nick> <password>
P.S. You can also add /j #channel and it will auto join channels for you, which can also be very usefull

One more thing I will add, if you are only level Op and above you will not be able to op anyone, only Master's and above are allowed to Op unknown users.
